Degree Programs

University of Helsinki went through a reformation in 2017. The reformation changed most of the major subjects into degree programs. There are now several programs to which students apply and in bachelor’s programs they get to choose their major later.

In Valtsika there is four bachelor’s programs. After students have finished their bachelor studies they can continue to their own master’s programs or to apply to another program.

Besides these Finnish bachelor’s programs there are four international master’s programs. You might have arrived to one of those.

Knowing these programs exist will help you understand the structure of the faculty.
