Status ry is the association of Social Psychololy students in the University of Helsinki. Our members can be major students of social psychology or anyone in the University of Helsinki, who is interested in social psychology. Status is founded in 1966. Even though our subject is small, we our student organisation in active. We focus mostly on working life affairs. We organize studying events together with our subject, where our members have a change to meet our teachers and staff. We also organize mini mentoring annually with our alumni, where our members learn important skills for the future. Another important working life event is annual mini-internship, which gives students a possibility to work in a organization for a short period. In addition to working life events, we organize parties and other events where our members can meet and get to know each others.

Social psychology is a very interesting and wide subject. It is often called to be a subject between psychology and sociology and we know a lot about psychology, how individuals act in groups and organizations, and intergroup relations. Social psychology is easy to combine with other studies, because we have a lot in common with many subjects and social psychology is useful everywhere there are people and organizations.
